Perfectly Normal

I came across this gem whilst looking for listening content for my students in the English classes I teach and  we absolutely loved it.  It lovely embraces the Romantic Comedy genre and subverts some of  its tropes in a raucous film of obsession and finding love in the oddest and most improper of places.

Cassie finally found the love of her life, someone who understands her and her issues. He is smart, single, articulate, got a great career and he is an amazing listener. He also happens to be her therapist.

If that isn’t a recipe for disaster then nothing is. Add to mix that the therapist is an unwilling participant in this seduction and has his own issues played out in the night streets of this city makes sure that hilarity ensues.

Worth your 9 minutes and I’m looking forward to Writer/Director/Producer Jim McMahon’s other work.
